If your flight is canceled
If your flight is canceled, we'll notify you as soon as possible by email or text as well as in the SAS app.
Once you've been notified, you'll have 3 options:
Accept and travel on a new proposed flight
Rebook on another flight, free of charge
Cancel your booking and get a refund
We’ll do our best to rebook you on the next available flight under similar conditions and take care you of at the airport, if necessary.
Your rights in the event of a cancellation
If you need accommodations due to a cancellation for which we have not proposed a new same-day flight, you're entitled to stay in a reasonably-priced hotel overnight, as well as reimbursement for transportation between the airport and the accommodations. Remember to save all receipts.
You're entitled to a full refund for your unused ticket if your flight is canceled and you decide not to travel. If you choose to cancel and request a refund for your flight, you won't be eligible for compensation such as for meals, drinks or accommodations.
If you make your own travel arrangements due to a cancellation, you're entitled to compensation for your alternative transportation or flight on another airline if SAS is unable to provide you with a same-day flight. Remember to save all your receipts.
